Practical Tips

  • Go to a full dental check up at least once a year to detect any possible cavities, misadjusted amalgams, crowns or interproximals, among other issues.
  • Get a teeth cleaning at least once a year. If you’re a smoker, get it twice a year.
  • Make sure to eat more fibrous food like carrots, apples, and other fruits and vegetables.
  • Get used to flossing your teeth at least once a day, though the ideal would be to do so three times a day.
  • Make it a habit for your kids to take care of their teeth. From the first tooth they get, gently clean it with any soft clean fabric, and when it’s time to use the tooth brush leave them in charge of the brushing regardless of how much they play with it.
